About me
Max Margolis is the Assistant Director of Prevention for Lines For Life (LfL), an Oregon non-profit organization dedicated to suicide and substance abuse prevention. He supports the sustainable growth of LfL’s suicide prevention and substance abuse programs. Since 2021, he has led the Construction Suicide Prevention Partnership (CSPP), a collaborative project between LFL and the Northwest Region’s construction industry.
Max has a B.A. in Political Science from Ohio University. Since moving to Portland in 1997, he has worked to help communities address issues related to public health, public safety, mental health, and education. He believes complex problems create exciting avenues for new ideas and strives to transform complicated topics into inclusive discussions and effective services.
Max enjoys writing op-eds, speaking at construction sites, trying to memorize motivational quotes from Peloton, hiking, and hanging out with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
